Looking from Basham's Beach Toward Port Eliott
All photos copyright @ 2000 by John Kindleyside
The lovely and laid back seaside town of Victor Harbor in South
Australia has a lot to offer the inline skater,
according to John "Sk8terBawb" Kindleyside, a local
skater in that part of the world. John sent the photos in
this article.
Victor Harbor is on the Fleurieu Peninsula,
and the views from the path are magnificent.
Basham's Beach to Port Eliot
One of the great skating paths near Victor Harbor
runs from Bashams Beach to Port Eliott.

The Main "Foreshore" Bike Path
From Sk8terBawb:
"There is a main bikepath along the foreshore which is around
3 kilometres in length. It runs along to the sea and it
offers superb views as you skate. It
is undulating and has a few rough patches but overall
is a good and enjoyable place to skate."
Sk8terBawb's recommendation:
"This is a superb track, undulating and wide and
very smooth with grass on both sides, it is an
ideal place for beginners to learn to skate as
the complete path has perfect
run off areas all along it.
It is also great for serious skaters and those
seeking a good workout."

The Middleton Bike Path
Sk8terBawb:
"The Bashams-Port Eliott trail also
extends in the opposite direction, from
Bashams Beach to Middleton Beach.
Middleton is a surfing beach that can be
viewed from the path, but you should note
thatx this section of the trail is short and
quite steep in places, and you should be
very comfortable with hills before you try it."
