Brazil Roller Basketball Grand Prix
November 28 - December 7, 2003

In November and December of 2003 there will be an international roller basketball tournament in Brazil that will take place over ten days in three of the most important cities in Brazil (1) Brasilia, (2) São Paulo, and (3) Rio de Janeiro.

Goals of the Event
  1. To promote the spread and development of roller basketball in Brazil.

  2. To promote the formation of roller basketball schools.

  3. To stimulate the social development and interaction of children and adolescents by providing them with an extremely attractive a physical activity.

  4. To offer Brazilian students a new option for growth by introducing them to this radical new sport.

  5. Allow newly graduated of physical education students with a new option and vision they can use when marketing their work.

  6. To demonstrate to the citizens of Brazil that not only can children improve the quality of their life byskating, but adults can do it as well.

  7. To promote good citizenship by collecting non-perishable food which will be donated to destitute children in each of the three cities where the tournament will be held (Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo)
Details

The event will be an international competition between 4 to 8 roller basketball teams with participants being 16 years of age or older, and a combination of men and women. Each team will have a maximum of 6 athletes and a coach/judge.

  • Maximum total 56 people.
  • 12 days of Brazil Tour and games.
  • STAGE 1 - Brasilia (November 28-30, 2003)
  • STAGE 2 - São Paulo (December 2-4, 2003)
  • STAGE 3 - Rio De Janeiro (December 5-7, 2003)

    All the teamses play between itself, and the team wins the competition that to get greater number of points (baskets) in elapsing of the competition.

    We are in search of support and sponsorships to offer free student lodging, feeding and transfers of all the international teams, in each one of the cities.

    1st DAY OF GAMES - Leading - in consideration 08 (eight) Teams and only one court for the games, it is not common in Brazil together places that have two or more court of basketeball, but we are looking places with more than one court, however still we do not find.

    2ND ROUND

  • Team E x Team G (30 minutes)
  • Team H x Team F (30 minutes)
  • Team D x Team E (30 minutes)

    2º DAY OF GAMES - Leading - in consideration 08 (eight) Teams and only one court for the games.

    Total Team of Competition in this day approximately 05:00 hours. This program will be carried through in each one of the cities ­ Brasília, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

    Exit of the Teamses of they native countries.

    November 27, 2003 (Thursday)
    Arrived of the Teamses in Brasilia, receptive, City Tour, lunch, Luau, and Night Skate in the Park of the City.

    November 28, 2003 (Friday)
    Ceremony of opening and beginning of the Games.

    November 29, 2003 (Saturday)
    2nd Day of the Competition in Brasilia.

    November 30, 2003 (Sunday)
    3rd Day of the Competition in Brasilia and transfer (travel) to São Paulo.

    December 1, 2003 (Monday)
    Arrived in São Paulo, City Tour and Night Skate in Ibirapuera.Park.

    December 2, 2003 (Tuesday)
    1st Day of the Competition in São Paulo.

    December 3, 2003 (Wednesday)
    2nd Day of the Competition in São Paulo

    December 4, 2003 (Thursday)
    3rd Day of the Competition in São Paulo and Transfer (trip) to Rio de Janeiro.

    December 5, 2003 (Friday)
    1st Day of the Competition in Rio de Janeiro.

    December 6, 2003 (Saturday)
    2nd Day of the Competition in Rio de Janeiro.

    December 7, 2003 (Sunday)
    3rd Day of the Competition in Rio de Janeiro, and Beach Skate

    December 8, 2003 (Monday)
    City Tour in Rio de Janeiro and comes back of the teamses they native countries.
