2005 World Environment Games
A Multisport Endurance Event in Bahia, Brazil

The 2nd annual World Environment Games will take place October 22-30, 2005 and the event will include more than 10 different sports and have two beautiful routes in the coastal state of Bahia, Brazil.

  • About the 2005 Inline Skating Event
    In 2005, the inline skating events will be a 20 kilometer race, a 40 kilometer race, and a discovery event with the possibility of skating 32 kilometers on flat terrain or 65 kilometers with a "roller coaster" section. Organizers are also investigating the feasibility of having a 100+ kilometer skating event.

    Routes
    Northern Route: This route runs along the Costa dos Conqueiros begins in Praia do Forte which is located along Linha Verde, to Mangue Seco at the mouth of Rio Real 150km further.
    New Southern Route: This route goes to the charming provincial village of Itacaré, a magnificent and exotic village on the Cocoa Coast at the very end of the eco-highway Estrada Parque Ilhéus-Itacaré. That highway winds along the Atlantic ocean through a breathtakingly beautiful coastal rainforest.

    Event Dates and Travel Packages
    The official dates of this year's World Environment Games are: October 22-30 2005. Those wishing to stay for another week may extend their stay until November 6 2005.

    Registration Fees and Forms
    Registration fees are 25 to 150 Euros per event, depending on the sport, with multiple-sport events being the most expensive, and most sports being in the 25 to 50 Euro range. Online registration will be available soon on the official Web site and registration by mail is also possible.

    Price of Travel Packages
    Travel packages for this event begin at 1100 Euros and the price will depend on country and city athletes are traveling from. That price includes air transportation, local travel in Brazil to the site of the games, accommodation in either deluxe hotels or typical Brazilian Pousadas. An optional second week in Brazil will also be available.
