Team Riedell-Telemedia
  • Swiss-German Inline Speed Team
    Dateline: August 11, 2000

The Riedell-Telemedia inline racing team is a mixed team, with members from Switzerland and Germany. The team was founded by Visiomatics of Switzerland, and it is sponsored by Riedell_Skates USA and Horn_and_Ullmann_Telemedia of Germany.

    Erika

There are currently 7 team members:

    Erika Kaufmann
    Switzerland
In 1998, Erika finished in first place at both the Swiss Inline Marathon and Europe's longest race, the 111 km Inline One-Eleven. In 1999, Erika's ambitions were abruptly crushed because of an accident that occurred while she was training. She was cycling downhill, on a pass through the mountains, when she collided with a bus and broke her shoulder! Erika can be reached at erika.kaufman@skatetrix.ch.

    Pascal Huber
    Switzerland
In 1998, Pascal placed first overall in the fitness category of the Swiss Inline Cup. He is an intelligent skater, with a sunny personality, who prefers uphill races. Pascal can be reached at pascal.huber@skatetrix.ch.
    Klaus Weiss
    Germany
Klaus Weiss is the team coordinator in Germany, and he is very experienced in alpine and long distance jogging.
    Tommy Ulbrich
    Germany
Tommy Ulbrich prefers long races, like the 111 km Inline One-Eleven held each year in St. Gallen Switzerland.
    Mario Flohr
    Germany
Mario is another skater who likes those long races!
    Thomas Ladner
    Germany
Thomas Ladner is the 2000 champion of the German Bundesland (State) Northrhine-Westphalia. Thomas is one of the newest members of the team, and he prefers the shorter, faster races, especially on tracks.
    Phil Schneider
    Germany
Phil, another new member, also prefers fast races. See these terrific photos of Phil practicing starts and stops on a rainy Swiss day: Surreal Speedskater (photos by Eric Maurer of Skatetrix.ch). Phil has an interesting hobby - building elaborate structures with Lego bricks!
    Johannes Schulte
    Germany
Dr. Johannes Schulte is Berlin's fastest skating attorney, and his skating style is really a feast for the eyes.
