All India Speed Skating Championships
May 3-5, 2004 in Mangalore,India

FROM MANGALORE INDIA ON APRIL 20, 2004:
The first All India
Speed Skating Championships will take place in
Mangalore, India in May of 2004.
Most of the scheduled events will take place on
May 4th and 5th, but the opening ceremonies will
take place on May 3rd at 6:00 in the evening (18:00).
As many as 600 participants from all over India will take
part in the two-day event being organized by Roller World, a
private organization.
There will be separate competitions for inline skaters
and quad roller skaters and the age groups will be

6 to 8 years of age
8 to 10 years of age
10 to 12 years of age
Age 14 and older (open to everyone)
|
A cash prize of 2000 rupees will be given to the winners in all groups
followed by prize money of 1500 and 1000 rupees for the second and third
place winners respectively.
In addition to those cash prizes, trophies and
gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded.
