2003 Nairobi Inline Race

Participant
Registration will be closed at 10:30 on 23rd November 2003.
Participant Area
This is located @ Harambee Avenue, Harambee Lane, for participant only and has facilities to store your luggage
Secure car park
Roads will be closed at 07:00 morning; this is Harambee Avenue If you are driving to the event use Taifa road or Moi Avenue to join our secure parking next to National bank Harambee Avenue,
The start
All warm up takes place on Tumbo avenue as all participant will be informed to approach the start line by an announcer, the timing will be as follows
09:30 warm up at Tumbo Avenue
09:40 National anthem
09:50 10k cycling starts
09:55 200m time trial speed skating starts
10:10 Marathon starts
10:15 2km cycling starts
10:30 performance
10:40 1000m skating race starts
10:55 200m-kid races
11:10 100m-kid races
11:20 performance
11:40 5k corporate and individual race starts
11:45 scooter races
12:30 prize giving
15:00 5000m-inline race

Timekeeping
The times keeping for the disciplines of Marathon, Corporate/individual run, cycling and kid race take place without any timekeeping. Any one wishing to be timed can do so at a bill/rent of @ 2 USD enquire at the info desk.
Start number
Each participant receives one start number. This start numbers should be visibly placed on their chest, for runners & cyclist, skaters place their start number easily on their chest, back & bikers. If any participant cuts or trims, folds or does not wear the start number in the prescribe manner he may be disqualified.
The officials
All officials will wear a budge marked official, Follow instruction given by them.
Skates
We accept all different types of skates, both inline-skates as well as classic roller-skates also known as quads. We only allow 5 rollers for the discipline of speed skating Marathon.
Finishing order
For skaters the primary roll of the shoe has to cross the finishing line, whilst the inline-skate has to remain on the ground (at least one roller). The camera will record the finish.
Water
Water station every 10k for the marathon
Medical
There are a number of medical station a round, The route, an ambulance will follow at the back of the participant, Get any difficulty during your participation Stop- and wait for an ambulance or an official medical officers.
Stragglers bus
If you have to drop out of the marathon/race for any reason, please wait at the side of the road.
Prize giving
This take place starting at 12:30, for top three finishers
Press
Top 3 finishers might be request interview in the press tent
Hire skates
This can be done so in our event village whereby you can hire out roller skates and inline skates @ 100 Kshs per hour.
