This photograph of Mr. Eyad Al-Kharafi, President of the Kuwait Roller Skating Federation, posing with Kathie Fry in front of Lake Geneva, was taken in Montreux, Switzerland in 2001. The photographer was Mr. Jaume Alemany of Barcelona, Media Manager for the International Roller Sports Federation (FIRS).

About the Day the Photo Was Taken
The photo was taken when the two were in Europe attending the World Downhill Skating Championships and the Bluewin Urban Roller Contest in Lausanne, Switzerland. On this day, Mr. Isidro Oliveras, President of the International Roller Sports Federation, took Mr. Al-Karafi and Kathie Fry on a side trip to Montreux, Switzerland to visit the site of a historic world roller hockey facility, which is now part of the Montreux Palace Hotel.
