Vilnius/Kaunas/Vilnius Inline 200k
A Lithuanian Record Attempt

On June 15, 2003 twenty skaters will attempt to make a new entry in the Lithuanian Book of Records by skating from Vilnius to Kaunas and back to Vilnius, a distance of approximately 200 kilometers.

Event Date: June 15, 2003
Start Time: 7:00 am (7:00)
Finish Time: 6:00 pm (18:00)

Location: The event will start and finish in Cathedral Square in the city of Vilnius, Lithuania.

Purpose of the Event: To register this marathon in the Lithuanian Book of Records as the longest distance traveled on skates.

Who Can Participate: Inline enthusiasts and professional skaters with sufficient physical preparation and fitness are invitated to participate. The number of skaters is limited to 20.

Route: The marathon will take place on the Vilnius-Kaunas-Vilnius motorway.

Distance: 200 Kilometers

Rest Stops: Every two hours there will be a 10 minute rest stop

Participants: ` Inline enthusiasts and professional skaters with sufficient physical preparation and fitness are invitated to participate. The number of skaters is limited to 20.

Registration: To register for the event, send email to tnf@omni.lt with your first name, last name, birth date, club (if any), city, country, and phone number. Note that the official registration deadline is June 10, so if try to register after that date, it us possible you will not be able to do it.

Age of Participants: Participants must be older than 18.

Health Certificate Reqwuired: All participants have an appropriate health check-up and present evidence of that health check on the day of the marathon.

Safety Gear Required: Helmets and wrist guards are mandatory.

Responsibility: Every participant is solely responsible for the risk they take. Participants are responsible for their health and fitness to participate in this marathon. The Organizer will carry no responsibility for all injuries that may occur during the marathon.

Other Issues: All issues that have not been covered by this guide will be resolved by the organizer on marathon day.
