A Training Course for Inline Skating Police
by Agent Juan Matos of Puerto Rico

This training was developed for the Puerto Rico Police Inline Skating Unit by a team of four instructors, including myself. It is currently being offered to city police departments, (we are state police) by the Puerto Rico Inline Skating Association, in which all four instructors are active members. The course is being published so that all other "roller-cops" can give us their input on other techniques that should be added, and what things could be changed, or any other experience in the field that might help us develop a standarized format of teaching for all "roller-cops" everywhere. Eventually, the course will belong to all of us !!! All ICP Instructors and Examiners are encouraged to lend a hand in developing this course.

Our Training Course
Requirements and Duration
  1. Requirements:
    1. All officers must have IISA Level I skills to be accepted for training. (We strongly recommend to take a class with a certified ICP Instructor before the training).

    4. NO REAL WEAPONS ON THE TRAINING SITE !!!
