The Skate Park Roller Vertical Exploration in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico began as an idea in the head of a determined father who wanted to share his values and his favorite activities with his three children and their friends. They all spent time together pursuing outdoor activities such as rappelling, mountain climbing and hiking. In 1994 extreme sports started becoming popular. The kids wanted to begin inline skating and they needed a place to practice. The idea to build a skate park was conceived at that time, and the park was built gradually over a period of years. The entire neighborhood participated in the effort, including the local kids who sold candy to help raise funds for the skatepark.
