The "Red Bull Crashed Ice" downhill ice skating competition
will take place in Duluth, Minnesota February 20-21, 2004. The event will feature 100
adrenaline junkies - men and women, young and old - racing down an
intricate downhill ice course featuring tight turns and narrow
chutes.
The winner of this cutthroat
competition is judged
by their speed, and making it into the finals requires a great deal
of skating skill, agility, strategy and strength. Each competitor will battle three other
skaters in heats, with each skater competing for their share of the $5,000 cash purse.
