When you visit Duluth Minnesota, be sure to skate,
bicycle, or walk on the Lakewalk Path, which
runs along the edge of Lake Superior in
Downtown Duluth.
The winding and hilly path runs
from Canal Park to 26th Avenue East.
It is beautifully
landscaped, and it
has spectacular views of Lake Superior and
Duluth's famous aerial lift bridge.
Be careful when you skate on that path, because
there are several sharp turns.
A women was killed in May of 1999 when she
missed one of those curves, and fell 30 feet to her death.
(for more information about that accident, see the article
Jessica Lishinski's Death.
