Daniel Peterson Died Skitching
September 2001 in Toronto, Canada
|
Nineteen year old inline skater Daniel Peterson died in Toronto Canada on
September 27, 2001 of injuries he sustained while inline skating.
Daniel was hanging onto the driver's side of a
friend's pick up truck, being towed at a very high rate of
speed. The truck (and his skates) hit a bump in the road
causing him to lose his balance and fall underneath the truck.
He was immediately crushed by the rear wheels of the
truck that was pulling him along.
He was taken immediately to Hamilton
General Hospital, where he died a week later, on September 27,
of massive injuries to his head and internal organs.
The accident took place on Saturday September 22, 2001, about
4:00 in the afternoon, near the intersection of Wentworth Street
North and Monroe Avenue.
