Inline Skating Instructor Certification Programs
A directory of inline skating instructor certification programs
around the world. Skaters pay these programs a fee
and in return they are taught a particular method of teaching
beginning inline skaters. Newly certified instructors also receive a card or a piece of paper
verifying that they have been certified, and they are
usually given an opportunity to purchase insurance
for their inline skating classes.
United States and Canada
United Skates Schools Group
(instructor certification and insurance)
The United Skate Schools Group (USSG) was formed in January
of 2005 by a group of top skating instructors and examiners
formerly affiliated with the International Inline Skating Association.
USSG is a professional organization for skating instructors, offering
instructor certification, insurance, an annual professional conference,
business development plans, a newsletter, and other resources
for skating instructors.

USA Inline Fit
(insurance only - no certification program)
In December of 2004,USA Fit took over the
United States operations of the
inline skating instructor certification program
originally founded and operated by the International
Inline Skating Association, and they named their new program
"USA Inline Fit. They offer insurance for individual instructors
and their Web site includes a search engine for instructors
certified by the former IISA who have purchased insurance through
USA Inline Fit.
ProBlader
(Canada)
This instructor certification program is run out of a
local skating school in Toronto, Canada. I don't have
much information about this school or what
qualifies them to certify instructors.
Asia and Europe
ICP International
ICP International is a certifying agency for skating instructors
in Asia and Europe. ICP International was originally part of the
International Inline Skating Association Instructor
Certification Program (IISA-ICP) but when IISA shut down
in December of 2004, ICP International continued certifying
instructors in Europe and Asia, using the system originally developed by IISA.

French Federation Instructor Certification Program (FFRS)
The national governing body for the sports of
inline skating and roller skating in France has their own certification
program called "Brevet d'Etat Roller-Skating".
