Skate at the Roll Bounce Hollywood Premier

Contest Dates: July 30 through August 14, 2005

The movie Roll Bounce is scheduled to open in theaters everywhere on September 23, 2005, and skaters age 13 and above are invited to compete for an opportunity to skate at the Hollywood movie premier. Auditions will take place across the United States at the following locations:

  • Date to be announced - Las Vegas, Nevada


    • To highlight the movie Roll Bounce, Fox Searchlight Studios is sponsoring a jam skating contest called the Roll Bounce Skate-Off. Local competitions will be held at 25 roller skating rinks across the United States, regional competitions will be held at five skating rinks, and a Chicago roller skating rink will host the final competition. Local celebrities will judge the local competitions and national celebrities will judge the regional and final competitions.

    Judging will be based solely on entertainment value of the routine, not on specific dance moves. Skaters entering the contest must be able to travel to the movie's premier, which is scheduled take place during the week of September 26, 2005 in Los Angeles. The winning team will receive an all expense paid trip to the Roll Bounce Premier, where they will both perform and attend.
