Controversial 2002 Bont Ad
"It's Bont Skates or NOTHING"

The Fall 2002 issue of Fitness and Speed Skating Times Magazine included a full page ad on the inside cover that has generated quite a bit of controversy in the skating world.

What The Ad Looks Like
The ad is a full-page photo of a beautiful Swiss mountain and lake scene. In the foreground, standing on a rock high above the lake, is a rear view of a skater without any clothes on, waving his Bont speed skates over his head. There's a Bont logo at the bottom of the page, but other than that, the only print on the page is in the upper left corner, where it says:
