Guide to the Smallest Digital Cameras
Which Camera is Really the Tiniest?

Many camera manufacturers say one of their digital cameras is the "smallest camera in the world" or the "smallest camera in its class", but which compact digital camera is REALLY the smallest? I decided to do some research when I needed a very small digital camera to carry with me during my frequent inline skating holidays and when I am participating in a skating event or another active sports event.

Some of the smallest digital cameras currently available are listed in the table below along with the following information:

  • Column 1 - Size (width + length + height) in mm
  • Column 2 - Manufacturer
  • Column 3 - Model (link to Manufacturer's specs)
  • Column 4 - Megapixels
  • Column 5 - List Price (try to beat this price)
  • Column 6 - Buy the camera at Amazon.com

The smallest cameras are listed at the top of each section because the cameras are organized smallest to largest within the sections. The number in the first column is the width plus the height plus the depth of the camera (in millimeters) and the table only includes cameras with W+H+D dimensions totaling less than 200 MB.
