October Formed clubs in each district in consultation with Kanto, Kansai, Chubu, Shikoku, and Kyushu block groups 1953 March Formed a federation with the Kanto, Kansai, and Chubu district federations May Japan Roller Skating Federation Establishment Preparatory Committee formed May All Kanto roller skating competition held at Kanagawa Gymnasium, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture August National roller skating competition held in Ogaki City, Gifu Prefecture September The Japan Roller Skating Federation establishment general meeting was held at the Japan Sports Association (Ochanomizu, former Kishi Memorial Gymnasium), and was transferred from the current Japan Cycling Federation, which represents the roller skating competition, and is now the Japan Sports Association. Established with the approval of the Japan Skating Federation, Kiyoshi Kitazawa (currently the chairman of the Japan Cycling Federation) was appointed as acting chairman, and Kiyoshi Kitazawa (currently the chairman of the Japan Cycling Federation) was acting as the chairman.
