How to tell if you are a super hard-core Roller
Derby fanatic. An article by Wayne Hurlbert of
Wayne's Derby World.
How can you tell if you are a hard core derby person?
Do you find yourself late at night, surfing the web for any derby websites, no matter how obscure?
Do you bookmark them all, and then return over and over, hoping for updates?
Do you read each and every post on the Yahoo Groups, Erin's "Derbytime", and the RDPA "Penalty Box", to name just a few?
Do you post too?
Do you own derby merchandise from several leagues?
Do you search for derby memorabilia on e-Bay?
Do you bid?
And.....even buy?
Do you own game tapes, from several banked track leagues, that you watch over and over again?
Do you frequent derby chat rooms?
Do you actually know where they exist?
Have you read every book ever written about derby?
Are they the bulk of your books that you own?
Are your walls covered with derby posters from Roller Derby, Roller Games, and RollerJam?
Can you name all of the line-ups of the New York Chiefs, LA T-Birds, and the Nevada Hot Dice, and still forget your cousin's name?
If you can answer yes, to any or all of these questions, you may be a hard core derby person.
And that, my friends, is a good thing!
