Included among Riaan Haasbroek's many accomplishments are being selected for the 2002 South African World Team and winning the Bont Skating Bachelorette Contest where the prize was an all-expense paid trip to Belgium for a date with the beautiful Belgian World Team skater Britta Vantournhout.
