Lacing Up My New Speed Skates For the First Time
Photo 2 of 10

This is me in Venice Beach, California lacing up my first pair of speed skates for the first time. These Bont Black Widow boots have a 2-tier lacing system. Each booth came with 2 laces, a long lace for the top of my foot, and a shorter lace for the front of my ankle. That lacing system was designed to allow a skater to independently adjust the lacing over the foot and around the ankle. In this picture I am trying to figure out how to stuff all of the long lace ends inside my boot covers.
