Artistic Inline Skate Frames: PIC vs. Traix
by Wendi Dunlap Simpson

Wendi Dunlap Simpson shares her opinions how about how the PIC artistic inline skate frame compares to the Triax frame.

If you are a quad freestyle skater, you may find the Triax easier, and it seems that judges in USA/RS prefer them since their technique is more like quad technique. But their design is not very good, IMHO. If you are an ice freestyle skater, go with the PICs. They feel much more like ice skates. Don't touch the Triax with a ten foot pole. (Triax skates are not rockered, while PICs are). If you have no experience in either area, I'd go with the PICs. I think they would be easier under those circumstances. I wear PICs, so that is my bias... but I just find the Triax to be designed in a way that makes it harder to do things.
