Whether you prefer the PIC or the Triax frame might depend on
whether you come from an ice skating background or a traditional
quad roller skating background. Based on my conversations with
other skaters, quad skaters seem to prefer Triax while ice skaters
seem to prefer PIC. I come from an ice skating background, and
I'm very happy with my PIC skates.
I've been rollerblading since 1986. Then, it was not uncommon
for me to literally be the only rollerblader on the Venice bike
path. Originally, I took up inline skating as an adjunct to my
ice training, but now it is my primary skating activity. I have
indoor and outdoor pairs of skates. My indoor skates are PIC skates.
These roller skates are amazingly like ice skates. I can do a waltz,
salchow, loop, flip, lutz, toe loop, and axel in these skates, as
well as a one foot spin equal to what I can do on ice. If you are
an ice skater, you should check these out.
David is a Southern California skater who enjoys ice skating and
inline skating both indoors and out.
