Crosskates Were 1st Runnerup in a 1999 MIT Contest
Crosskates were the first runnerup in the 1999
MIT 50K Entrepreneurship competition organized by the
the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (from Wired.com).
The Crosskate is scheduled to go into production
in August of 2001 and is expected to cost $695. At the
time of production it was to be called
the "Crosskate Backcountry Skate" and the advertising line was
going to be "No snow? No problem!"
