Other World Record Attempts:
1997 - Jonathan Seutter's 24 Hr Record Attempt
Jonathan discusses his attempt at the 24-hour
world record, several other world record attempts,
and what is required to make your record "official"
(from a message posted on alt.rec.skating.racing on
December 5, 1997).
1998 - Skating Up Mount Kilimanjaro
In January of 1998, Eddy Matzger and Dave Cooper skated up
19,340-foot Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa.
1996-1999 - Skating Around the World
Fabrice Gropaiz of France
was the first person to skate around the world alone on inline
skates. The journey took 3 years, from March of 1996 until
March of 1999. The trip started and ended in San Francisco.
1992 - Fastest Skating Behind a Car
It turns out that this page is NOT for fastest
skating behind a car, but instead is for fastest
speed surfing on TOP of a car (lying down, hanging
on for dear life, with no safety equipment!).
I'm
including the page here anyway, because at least
one Web site listed this link under "Fastest Skating
Behind a Car", and also because it's kind of an interesting page.
For more information about this feat
(mostly in German, some in English), see
stuntman
Marko König's Web Site.
