Colombia is Number One in Roller Speed Skating
Colombia dominated roller speed skating at the
2005 World Games in Duisburg with three gold,
four silver and four bronze medals
Three Double Speed Skating Wins in the 3,000 and 5,000 m
It takes a team to win a medal in the 3000 and 5000 meter
inline speed skating events, which was proven by the
Colombians, French, and Koreans.
Roller Speed Skating Events Postponed
The 5,000 meter roller speed skating competition
scheduled for July 20 had to be cancelled because of rain.
Roller Speed Skating: Third Medals to Dobbin and Caicedo
New Zealand's Kalon Dobbin won gold medals in the 300, 500, and 1000 meter
events and Colombia's Jennifer Caicedo won gold, silver, and
bronze medals.
Wind Does Not Endanger Waterskiing and Speed Skating
In spite of a prediction for high winds on Wednesday, July 20
it was expected that the speed skating and wake board competitions
at the 2005 World Games would take place as scheduled.
1000m Roller Speed Skating Titles to Gonzalez and Dobbin
Andrea Noemi Gonzalez of Argentina and
Kalon Dobbin of New Zealand both won
300 meter silver medals and 1000 meter gold medals.
300 Meter Sprint Titles Go to Italy
Maria Laura Orru and Gregorio Duggento of Italy won
gold medals in the 300 meter inline speed skating

Roller Speed Skating Hopes for Good Weather
The speed skating competition at the 2005 World Games
will only take place if the track is completely dry
