2000 Asian X Games
Inline Vert Singles Competition

Informatin about the Inline Vert Singles Competition at the December 2000 Asian X Games in Phuket, Thailand.

Shane Yost Repeats 1999 Victory

On Sunday, December 10, Australia's Shane Yost defended his 1999 X Games victory by placing first at this year's Inline Vert Singles event.

At one point, he was running behind 14 year old Takeshi Yasutoko, but he performed some amazing tricks, successfully enough to push him into the lead position.

Shane, who lives in Melbourne, Australia, almost didn't make it to the event, because his sponsor was not able to pay for the trip, but Shane decided to pay his own way, and I'm sure he's glad he did! Winning first place at the Asian X Games, means Yost will be traveling to the United States next summer for the 2001 X Games in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
