SUPERMOTO TAKES OFF AT X GAMES X
Bostrom Edges Seel For Gold; McGrath Earns Second Medal
Los Angeles, California - The names at the starting gate of Sunday's SuperMoto debut at X Games X were a veritable who's who of motorcycle-riding elite. Everything from Supercross champions to Motocross champions to Superbike champions.

But, in the end, it came down to Ben Bostrom (Las Vegas, Nevada USA) and Eddy Seel (Spa, Belgium). In short, one of the best SuperMoto riders from the United States head-to-head against one of the best from Europe.

The race was decided on the final lap when Bostrom put pressure on Seel entering the first turn on the road course. Seel tried to hold off Bostrom's charge on the left, but his back tire kicked out to the left and Bostrom slid past to claim Gold.

"When I saw Eddy make the mistake I knew I had it," said Bostrom. "One small mistake and I capitalized. I was so psyched when I got here today and saw the sold-out crowd."

Seel took over the lead on lap 17 as he and Bostrom battled with Supercross legend Jeremy McGrath, who left his first X Games with two medals (gold in Step Up and bronze in SuperMoto).

"Second is great when you are racing against such big-name riders," said Seel. I am so happy to be here for the first time at the X Games."

McGrath took the lead out of the gate and held it until Bostrom slipped by on the fifth lap. The two proceeded to trade leads for the next two laps until Bostrom went ahead on the seventh lap.

"The best I could have hoped for is a medal," said McGrath. "But to lead like that for a long time was great. I got the hole shot and when I got passed I just followed the rest and did what they did."
