Dead Kennedys Will Perform at the 2005 X Games

The Dead Kennedys have been invited to perform at the 2005 Summer X Games in Los Angeles California.

The Dead Kennedys

Called "one of the most popular and important American hardcore punk bands of the late seventies/early eighties" by the Rough Guide to Rock, Dead Kennedys band members currently include East Bay Ray, Klaus Flouride and D.H. Peligro along with Jeff Penalty. The band's latest release is Live From The Deaf Club, which was recorded in 1979.

Touring extensively since they reformed in 2001, Dead Kennedys have played Tokyo, Moscow, throughout Europe and all over the United States in the past four years. The band's debut CD, Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables will be re-released in late 2005 with a bonus DVD, previously unseen photographs, and new liner notes to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of this high water mark in punk rock.
