DUMBLUCK Will Perform at the 2005 X Games
DUMBLUCK has been invited to perform at the 2005 Summer
X Games in Los Angeles California.
DUMBLUCK is a three-piece unit whose universal sound
and song writing connects and speaks to the masses.
With an energetic fusion of rock and reggae, some
have dubbed DUMBLUCK "The Police" for the new millennium.
Hailing from Orange County, the seasoned musicians
that make up DUMBLUCK are no strangers to the local
music scene. The band features Jim Perkins on guitar
and lead vocals, Phil Valdovinos on Drums and Johnny
Baldaray on bass and vocals. Despite the band's
serious and gut checking lyrical content, DUMBLUCK
delivers a live show that is fun and sometimes
light hearted. They are truly a band you must
experience live.
Performing at a rotation of Los Angeles’, Orange
County’s and San Diego’s finest venues. Sharing
the stage with the likes of LONG BEACH SHORTBUS,
PEPPER, VIOLENT FEMMES, FISHBONE, VOODOO GLOW SKULLS,
JUNIOR REID... DUMBLUCK's dynamic live show has
carved them a niche in the Southern Californian
music scene.
Accomplishing what many have tried and failed,
DUMBLUCK have recorded an album that showcases
the band's live intensity loud and clear.
Encompassing the sounds of blues, rock and reggae,
DUMBLUCK is sure to satisfy the finickiest of
musical appetites. With an albums worth of stellar
tracks co-produced by the Wizardz of Oz, it is
only a matter of time before rock radio follows
X 103.9 FM's lead in jamming the airwaves with
the likes of "Down for Whatever", and "Favorite
Song."
DUMBLUCK received national exposure
with the airing of the bands theme music for
X Games X 2004. DUMBLUCK's version of
"I Just Want To Celebrate" (originally
recorded by 70's funk group Rare Earth) aired
throughout the Summer X Games telecast on ABC
and ESPN. DUMBLUCK was also one of the few
featured performers (including OZOMATLI,
STRUNG OUT and G LOVE) to take the stage at the
Staples Center for the X Games festivities.
DUMBLUCK has since followed up their X Games
recording with a rendition of CCR’s "The Night Time
is The Right Time", currently being used as the
theme music for ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball.
