Buttermilk Mountain


The Aspen and Snowmass area is one of the most well-known resort destinations in the world. Four mountains rise up out of the Roaring Fork Valley that are popular with winter sports enthusiasts:

  • Snowmass Mountain
  • Aspen Mountain
  • Aspen Highlands
  • Buttermilk Mountain

    Those mountains combined offer 4,993 acres of ridable terrain: 3 terrain parks, 4 halfpipes, and 335 marked trails accessible via 42 lifts.

    How to Get There
    Aspen/Snowmass is located 220 miles southwest of Denver, Colorado, and is easily accessible by two convenient mountain airports: Aspen Pitkin County Airport (3 miles from Aspen) and Vail Eagle County Airport (70 miles from Aspen).
