Congo's Conflict Can't Stop Rollerbladers
Article by Ryan Lenora Brown published in the Christian Science Monitor on October 29, 2019. Features inline skaters in the city of Beni. SKATERS:
- Joel Kavuya, Coach of the team (founded the team in 2017)
- Female Alice Nguru Bagheni (was 22 and a law student in 2019)
- Female Chakila Melchois, a stern 17-year-old who earlier this year took first place in a 14-kilometer race (8.7 miles) for women in the nearby city of Butembo.

Juquel Kakina of the Hirondelles Club became the high jump champion of the Congo-DR during the 2014/2015 season byjumping 2.5 meters.
