I took this photo of world champion ice speed skater and Olympic gold medal winner Anni Friesinger at the 2003 European All-Around Ice Speed Skating World Championships at Heerenveen Ice Stadium in the Netherlands on January 4, 2003 (I was attending that event with Dutch art and sports photographer Ewoud Broeksma). I was honored and excited to finally meet Anni in person that day.

In March of 2004 the Goldmannn publishing house released a new autobiography written by ice speed skating world champion and olympic gold medal winner Anni Friesinger of Germany.
