I took this photo of world champion ice speed skater and Olympic
gold medal winner Anni Friesinger at the 2003 European All-Around
Ice Speed Skating World Championships at Heerenveen Ice Stadium in the Netherlands
on January 4, 2003 (I was attending that event with Dutch
art and sports photographer
Ewoud Broeksma). I was honored
and excited to finally meet Anni in person that day.

A New Book by Anni Friesinger
In March of 2004 the Goldmannn publishing house
released a new autobiography written by ice speed
skating world champion and olympic gold medal winner
Anni Friesinger of Germany.
My Letter to Anni Friesinger
On January 11, 2003 (Anni's 26th birthday) I posted this

a few days after I returned home from the Netherlands
where I met Anni for the first time.
