Organization established in February of 2014 by the Oman Ministry of Sports to control ice hockey and other ice sports in the Sultanate of Oman. On May 24, 2014 the committee was recognized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) as an associate member and the national governing body for the sport of ice hockey in Oman. Note that the organization's official Web site at oisc.om is no longer online but their social media sites can still be viewed. Ice hockey in Oman is (or was?) now governed by the Oman Skating Sports Committee.
